Visualize tool not loading properly

When I click to visualize a dataset the normal page loads and
then the "Loading Map" Box pops up with a status bar. The status
bar is not filling, but work can be completed by pressing the
cancel button without any changes being lost.
The trouble begins when adding more datasets. After about 5
datasets are added to one visualize screen the box travels so far
down the screen the cancel button cannot be clicked and no further
work can be done.

Yes, we've noticed this as well. The issue appeared for the first time late last week, and we're trying to determine the cause. Thanks for pointing it out; I'll keep you posted.
