the difficulty of using this web site
Hi. I went to the public meeting at St Vincent college. I was looking forward to finding what I need on this web site.
I live on 47.5 beloved acres 2 miles north east of the
Westmoreland county village of Armbrust. My land is surrounded by
large farms that were once productive and now mostly lay fallow. I
am expecting a lot of these farms to sign leases.
All I wanted from this impossibly dense web site was the
promised ability to easily look to see who has signed leases within
range of my drinking water well.
Can someone please tell me the way to find that page and that page
only. Thank you, Joan
I do not have the time or ability to wade through and master the density of this site. All I want is the part of it where I can find my land on the Google mao and see if the neighbors have signed leases.

You have a few options for cutting through the large amounts of data on Fractracker. First, you have the option of using the advanced geographic search (you can find a link on the Explore page) and selecting the area you are interested in. The results will be limited to maps that cover the area you have selected.
Also, for a list of the most useful datasets and snapshots, you can also check out the Fractracker Data Index.

Morning Joan,
I understand that you are having trouble working with FracTracker. I am very sorry to hear that, but let me see if I can help.
You said that you are interested in seeing who has leased around your home, correct? Unfortunately, we have very little lease data available on FracTracker, since that would require someone to conduct a physical file review of your local township/municipality where the leasing agreements are stored. Our staff is too small to do this, but if you know of someone who has the time, they are welcome to upload that lease data onto FracTracker.
Just to clarify, leases are different from "permitted wells" and wells that have been drilled, because permit and drilled wells data are stored and provided by the PA Department of Environmental Protection online. We have permit and drilled wells data in abundance on the FracTracker system, as a result.
Since I realize it can be difficult to find the maps and data that you're looking for, we've set up a data index to help with the navigation process. In case there are other maps or data that you would like to find, here is the link to the index: http://www.fractracker.org/p/data-index.html. I hope I have addressed at least some of your concerns, but feel free to email me with additional questions.
Best,
Sam
