Metadata

Metadata is used to help classify datasets, add important information, and make them easier to search. Metadata is added to datasets at two points during the import process. When you describe your dataset in step 2, or add additional information in step 4 you are adding Metadata.
There are four required metadata fields in Rhiza Insight. First,
it needs a title. Next, it requires a brief summary and a
classification. Lastly, you'll need to add an author.
Use Constraints are also required, but they are set to public domain by default.

All other metadata is optional, but will help others use your data. All metadata headings have tool tips to help you understand what kind of information is required. Simply move your mouse over any text with a dotted underline and a hint will appear.
Also, keep in mind that metadata is editable at any time, so you can always go back and add more. Simply view a preview page for a dataset and choose 'Edit metadata' from the action menu.
