Insight Release 2011-02-04

Version 0.3.0.1023 (you can see the current version by entering "/build.html" after the server name)

A new version of Insight has been released and we want to let you know of some cool new features and some bug fixes. We're constantly working to make Insight better, so keep checking back for new things

New in this release:

Features

• All datasets now start with a default visualization style (if you haven't made one of your own). Points are shown as circles and all datasets start with a green fill color with approximately 80% opacity.

• Users can now change the email address or password associated with their account.

• Action menu callout to make it easier to make a snapshot (in the viz tool) and to share a snapshot (on a snapshot page).

• More obvious indicator when the visualization rules have changed and the map needs to be refreshed.

• Create charts in record balloons using records from the entire dataset and highlighting the current record.

• Wrote some Javascript that you can use on your website to display an organized directory listing of datasets via any Insight RSS feed by classification or keyword.

Bug Fixes

• Better unicode character treatment for attribute names in the dataset preview

• Handle mixed case attribute names and non-unique keys when merging datasets

• Info tool clicking on polyline datasets fixed
